Jesse came home from work today and was like hey lets do something fun! So he drove me to this place he looked up that had live open mic music. It was fun and different; the kind of place we have been wanting to find for a while. It was this cute little coffee house called Shady Coffee and Tea. It had a really laid back feel and was quiet warm and cozy inside. I had a green apple salad and Jess enjoyed a turkey sandwich.
The music was outside on the patio with round string lights all around. My favorite local musician was Chelsea Hughes. Her voice is really unique and reminded me of Norah Jones or Regina Specktor. I love that kind of music. Here is one of her songs from Youtube!
Fun little date night!

I love cozy little coffee shops like this! It's really great when you can see some live music, too...the artists who play little venues like this are usually good and I like supporting local talent. Looks like a great time! :)
